O'ahu advances to Babe Ruth 13-15 World Series final

An eight-run first-inning helped propel O'ahu past Syracuse, N.Y., 12-4, Friday and into the championship game of the Babe Ruth (13 to 15 years old) World Series at Abbeville, La.

O'ahu will play the winner of the other semifinal between Tallahassee, Fla., and Jefferson Parish East, La. The championship game will be played Saturday.

Paul Sneider homered and was the winning pitcher and Harrison Ishida hit three doubles for O'ahu, composed mostly of players from Punahou School.

O'ahu led 10-0 after two innings.
