TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"House," 7 and 8 p.m., Fox. Slowly and steadily, this clever show is becoming a hit. The nominations and awards have started. Ratings have been strong. The 7 p.m. rerun starts with Dr. Gregory House in trouble. The hospital chairman (Chi McBride) had threatened to cut his staff unless he gave a talk for a drug company. Instead, House used the talk to attack drug-company profiteering. Now comes their showdown in the boardroom. That's at the same time that House rushes to figure out why a pregnant 39-year-old is suddenly suffering brain and kidney failure. The 8 p.m. rerun has the hospital apparently facing a meningitis outbreak. House also focuses on a 12-year-old with odd symptoms.

OF NOTE

"NCIS," 7 p.m., CBS. A body has been found in an underground room of a closed military base.

"Meet Mister Mom," 7 p.m., NBC. In California, two dads face an added challenge. Not only have their wives left on vacation, but the food also has been removed. Now they must conquer grocery shopping.

"Biography," 7 p.m., A&E. Does everyone need a 90-minute dose of Tommy Lee tonight? First comes this biography that includes his rock life and his high-profile marriages to Heather Locklear and Pamela Anderson. At 8 p.m., catch his half-hour NBC show.

"Tommy Lee Goes to College," 8 p.m., NBC. In this reality (well, semi-reality) show, rock drummer Tommy Lee tries to do everything during his one semester at the University of Nebraska. Tonight, he struggles to qualify for the drum line in the marching band, takes tests and, at 42, leaps into intramural sports.

"The Office," 8:30 p.m., NBC. In this rerun, the boss (Steve Carell) has challenged the warehouse crew to a basketball game. That's a touchy subject for Jim, who loves Pam from afar. Her macho boyfriend will be on the other team.

"Wide Angle: Gutted," 9 p.m., PBS. International politics entwine with personal agony in this documentary. The focus is on Sandy West, a Scottish fisherman whose family has been catching cod for generations. Now, new European Union rules apply. He's forced to decommission his almost-new boat.
