WAI CHING WONG AU, 63, of Ho-nolulu, died Aug. 24, 2005. Born in China. Retired seamstress. Survived by husband, Koon Sung; son, Tony; daughters, Tammy Lee and Amy Tashiro; seven grandchildren. Visitation for Taoist service 9:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursday at Borthwick Mortuary; burial 1 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.

MICHAEL DENNIS BOVARD, 55, of Kealakekua, Hawai'i, died Aug. 22, 2005. Born in Hayward, Calif. A longtime chef in local restaurants. Survived by daughter, Nicole Madaule; two grandchildren. Private service. Arrangements by A Hui Hou Funeral & Tribute Services, Kailua, Kona.

JOSEPH LAWRENCE BUDY, 91, of Honolulu, died Aug. 22, 2005. Born in Waukegan, Ill. A World War II veteran retired from the Foreign Service U.S. Agency for International Development. URSULA K. PIRL FOUTTS, 88, of Honolulu, died Aug. 23, 2005. Born in Glogau, Germany. Retired Kaiser Hospital nurse. RUTH AH LIN "KEAHI" HALE, 89, of Honolulu, died Aug. 22, 2005. Born in Honolulu. DANIEL "UNCLE DAN" NAKOA NAPUUNOA, 83, of Wai'anae, formerly of Nanakuli, died Aug. 13, 2005. Born on Maui. A pig farmer. Survived by wife, Agnes "Aunty Aggie"; sons, Rocky "Jimmy," Dan "Yala" and Naune Napuunoa, and Frank "Beaver" Mendiola III; brother, Joseph Nakoa; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
