What's open, closed on Labor Day

Labor Day is Monday:

Government: Federal, state and county offices, closed.

Mail: All post offices closed. No regular residential or business delivery or pickup. No pickup from (blue) collection boxes. Express Mail delivered in municipal Honolulu area.

Libraries: All closed Saturday through Monday.

TheBus: Sunday schedule, with Express service; slightly reduced, regular weekday service for major military bases and downtown area. Information: 848-5555 or www.thebus.org.

Parking: Free, except for Kalakaua Avenue metered stalls along makai side of Kapi'olani Park. Holiday towaway zone parking as permitted by sign. Municipal lots must be fed.

Traffic: No coning.

Trash: Regular rubbish pickups.

Refuse convenience centers: Open.

Open markets: Closed.

Attractions: Parks and recreation centers, municipal golf courses, botanical gardens and Honolulu Zoo, open.
