CHARLES PENIKILA APAU JR., 64, of Honolulu, died Aug.14, 2005. Born in Honolulu. A retired welder, metal fabricator and foreman at Industrial Welding Inc. with 28 years of service. Survived by sons, Michael and Jason; daughter, Maile; grandson; sisters, Margaret Borge and Virginia Lynch. Private service and scattering of ashes held. Arrangements by Diamond Head Mortuary.

Combined services will be held for LAVINE ATHAYASAY, 83, who died Aug. 28, 2005, and his wife, SONE ATHAYASAI, 77, who died Aug. 26, 2005. Both were born in Laos. He was a retired farmer. She was a homemaker. Survived by sons, Mark, San, Vong and Sengphet; daughters, Yai and Noi; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
