This week on O'ahu, it's Christmas on parade

If you love a parade, this is your week. No fewer than eight of them are on tap around O'ahu between now and Saturday. Here's a look at where to look for Santa Claus in parades from one end of the island to another.

Kapahulu-Mo'ili'ili Christmas Parade. 6:30 to 8 p.m. tomorrow. Sponsored by Kapahulu-Mo'ili'ili Lions Club. Expected to have 250 marchers and five vehicles. Starts at Kuhio Elementary, goes to King Street, University Avenue, Beretania Street, Isenberg Street and ends at Old Stadium Park. Contact: 479-7139.

Hale'iwa Christmas Parade. 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday. Sponsored by North Shore Community Chamber of Commerce/Hale'iwa Main Street. Expected to have 250 marchers, 30 vehicles, four floats and two bands. Starts at Weed Circle, goes to Kamehameha Highway, through Hale'iwa town and ends at Hale'iwa Beach Park. Contact: 637-4558.

Gentry Waipi'o Christmas Parade. 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Sponsored by Gentry Waipi'o Community Association. Expected to have 200 marchers, 12 vehicles and a band. Starts at Gentry Waipi'o Shopping Center, goes to Waipi'o Uka Street, Uke'e Street, Ka Uka Boulevard, Waipi'o Uka Street and ends at the shopping center. Contact: 671-2272.

Waimanalo Christmas Parade. 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Sponsored by the Waimanalo Construction Coalition. Expected to have 80 vehicles, five floats and three bands. Starts at Waimanalo District Park, goes to Kakaina Street, Ma'ahilua Street, Kumuhau Street, Humuniki Street, Kalaniana'ole Highway and ends at Waimanalo Beach Park. Contact: 259-7342.

Waipahu Christmas Parade. 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Sponsored by Leeward O'ahu Lions. Expected to have 65 vehicles, two floats and a band. Starts at Waipahu District Park at Paiwa Street, goes to Farrington Highway, Pupukahi Street, Waipahu Street, Leoku Street and ends at Leolua Street behind Waipahu Town Center. Contact: 676-4301.

'Ewa Beach Christmas Parade. 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Sponsored by 'Ewa Beach Community Association. Expected to have 1,800 marchers, 75 vehicles and 10 floats. Starts at Ilima Intermediate, goes to Fort Weaver Road, Kuhina Street, Hanakahi Street, North Road, Fort Weaver Road and ends at Ilima Intermediate. Contact: 689-1311.

Kapolei City Lights Parade. 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Sponsored by Kapolei City Lights. Expected to have 25 vehicles and two floats. Starts at Kapolei Fairgrounds at Kealanani Avenue, goes to Farrington Highway, Kamokila Boulevard, Uluohia Street and ends at Kapolei Hale. Contact: 586-6830.

Manoa Community Christmas Parade. 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Sponsored by East Manoa Lions Club. Expected to have 400 marchers, 15 vehicles, two floats and two bands. Starts at Noelani School, goes to Woodlawn Drive, Kolowalu Street, East Manoa Road, Lowrey Avenue, Manoa Road, and ends at Manoa Park. Contact: 988-3298.
