TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Dear Santa," 7 p.m., Fox; and "Three Wishes," 8 p.m., NBC. Here are two hours that share a worthy Christmas season goal — granting wishes for young people. Fox starts with letters that kids sent to Santa Claus. One girl wants to help needy kids during the holiday. Another wants her military dad home on time. A boy wants a safe place to skate. Such wishes are fulfilled with the help of Clay Aiken, Hilary Duff and Tony Hawk. "Three Wishes" has gathered wishes when visiting towns. Tonight, one kid goes to Space Camp. Another meets Bill Gates and becomes Microsoft's chairman for a day. There's also a chance to revisit Bill Logue, the terminally ill dad featured on a previous show.

OF NOTE

"Celebrate Christmas with Maya Angelou," 5 p.m., Hallmark Channel. The master poet hosts this gathering with music (Ashford and Simpson) and conversation.

"C.S. Lewis: Beyond Narnia," 6 p.m., Hallmark Channel. C.S. Lewis was once an angry atheist, scarred by childhood tragedies. Later, he became a Christian, spinning stories to children who were sent out of London during World War II. Those tales became his epic "Chronicles of Narnia," now a big-budget movie. Using re-enactments, this hour richly retells the story of Lewis' life.
