Rainbow Warriors lose at Wisconsin-Milwaukee

Adrian Tigert scored 16 points and Wisconsin-Milwaukee held off a late Hawai'i rally to defeat the Rainbow Warriors, 58-52, in a non-conference basketball game today at Milwaukee, Wis.

Hawai'i is 3-2 after its second road loss this season. Wisconsin-Milwaukee is 4-2.

Ahmet Gueye led UH with 19 points. Julian Sensley added 13.

The Panthers took a 26-21 halftime lead and increased it to 53-39 with 6:04 to go. But the Rainbow Warrriors rallied and closed to 55-52 on a basket by Sensley with 56 seconds remaining. The Panthers' Chris Hill was fouled and made the second of two free-throw attempts to make it 56-52 with 34 seconds to go.

On the ensuing possession, Deonte Tatum lost the ball with 18 seconds remaining for Hawai'i's 20th turnover of the game. Boo Davis then scored on a dunk to give the Panthers a 58-52 lead with 14 seconds left.

UH's Matt Gipson missed a 3-point shot with 8 seconds left and the Panthers rebounded to seal the victory.

Gipson and Sensley each had 10 rebounds.
