'Lost' actress pays $657 in traffic fines

Advertiser Staff

Actress Michelle Rodriguez paid $657 in traffic fines at Wahiawa District Court this morning for three citations issued over the last three months, according to the court clerk's office.

Meanwhile, a state judge fined Rodriguez $357 this morning for speeding in connection with a Nov. 1 incident where Rodriguez was cited for driving 83 mph in a 55 mph zone.

She did not appear before a judge but her attorney, Steve Barta, entered a no-contest plea.

The $357 fine was tacked on to another unpaid $300 speeding violation stemming from a Oct. 20 traffic stop where Rodriguez was caught driving 90 mph in a 35 mph zone.

She was also cited for driving without proof of insurance, and a warrant was issued for her arrest in that case after she failed to appear Nov. 17.

Rodriguez and fellow "Lost" star Cynthia Watros were arrested Nov. 24 in Kailua for driving under the influence. Both were released after posting $500 bail.

Their initial court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 29.
