Gibson back with UH basketball team

By Dayton Morinaga

Matt Gibson returned to the University of Hawaii men's basketball team today, concluding an indefinite suspension.

Gibson was allowed to practice today with the Rainbow Warriors for the first time since Nov. 25. He was suspended by UH head coach Riley Wallace after a verbal altercation with the UH coaches during a practice.

"He's been cleared to practice, that's all I'm saying right now," Wallace said.

Gibson, a 6-foot-5 junior guard, has missed Hawaii's last three games. He led the team in scoring last season with 13.0 points per game. He is averaging 4.5 points per game this season as a reserve.
