ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Milk caps make comeback

Advertiser Staff and News Services

Remember the POG game craze of the 1990s? It's back (again).

Funrise Toy Corp. has updated the stack 'em and slam 'em caps with characters like Tweak of the Misfit Mob. The company announces the return of POG today at Waialua Elementary School, birthplace of Hawai'i's POG-mania, according to the toy company.

The late Blossom Galbiso, a teacher at Waialua, used the milkcaps and applied the popular game to her math curriculum in 1991. Funrise kicks off the POG relaunch 3 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at Ala Moana Center's Centerstage.
