Los Angeles-based Shepard Fairey left behind a trail of street art when he finished his residency at the Contemporary Museum last month, and his Hawai'i-inspired work is now at Surf Garage, 2716 S. King Street, 951-1173.
New San Diego surfboard company Artofficial invites artists such as Fairey to tart up its hand-shaped boards. Surf Garage's Toru Yamaguchi has a longboard ($2,500, pictured) and shortboard ($2,000) in stock. So are they for riding or displaying? "Hang on wall!" says Yamaguchi.
