Business briefs: Mokulele Airlines to add new routes

Interisland carrier Mokulele Airlines said it plans to add two new routes between Hilo and Kona and Hilo and Maui starting Jan. 15.

The Kona-based airline, which files twin-engine Piper Chieftain aircraft between the Neighbor Islands, also will start a new membership card program which will provide discounts for frequent fliers.

Mokulele said it will charge an introductory, one-way fare of $59.95 on its Hilo to Kahului service and an a one-way fare of $19.95 for its Hilo to Kona route. The prices do not include taxes and fees.

Mokulele currently flies between Kona and Maui, Moloka`i and Lana`i, as well as circle island tours of the Island of Hawai`i.

High tech job fair set for tomorrow

The state High Technology Development Corp. will sponsor the Sixth Annual Holiday Science & Tech Fair from 4:30 p.m-7 p.m. tomorrow at the Japanese Cultural Center.

More than 15 high tech companies and government agencies will have booths at the event, which is expected to draw hundreds of job seekers, organizers said. Among the companies and agencies participating are the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Hawaiian Electric Company, Booz Allen Hamilton and a unit of Lockheed Martin.
