Lajola, Jensen to play Sunday

Advertiser Staff

'Aiea's Dennis Lajola, a 16-year-old who has been playing the 18-under international circuit the past few years, will take on 1993 French Open doubles champion Luke Jensen in an exhibition Sunday at the Central O'ahu Regional Park tennis complex.

The match begins at 7 p.m.

Lajola is 81st in the International Tennis Federation junior rankings. Jensen is now an ESPN analyst. He might be most well known for his rare talent of playing with both hands, which made him a popular practice partner.

Jensen will be conducting clinics during the day. Cost for the clinics and exhibition is $25. The exhibition alone is $15.

CORP is closed to the public that day, but the courts are open to those attending the clinics. There is open play all day. Spectators for the exhibition also can play from 6:30 p.m. and after the match. For more information, call 677-1334.
