Alualu signs with California

Advertiser Staff

Tyson Alualu, an All-State defensive tackle from Saint Louis School, has signed a letter of intent to play football for California, Crusader coach Delbert Tengan announced today.

Alualu had narrowed his choices to Hawai'i and California. He also had visited Oregon State, and turned down a recruiting trip to Brigham Young.

Alualu was expected to announced a decision this past weekend, but opted to wait until today, the first day football prospects may sign binding national letters of intent with NCAA schools.

Alualu brought the signed documents to Tengan this morning. The information was faxed to the California coaches. A faxed document is considered to be binding.
