In "Hotel Rwanda," Don Cheadle portrays a real-life hotel manager trying to save lives amid a nationwide massacre.

"Hotel Rwanda": In 1994, a million people were murdered in Rwanda as one tribe turned against another. In Kigali, the capital city, a hotel manager (Don Cheadle) is able to save some 1,200 lives, using deception, misdirection, bribery and insight about human nature.
