"Sleep All Day" then get ready to jam all night as singer-songwriter Jason Mraz, left, and his poetic lyrics headline a concert alongside local slack-key master Makana. Mraz's lyrical genius on albums such as "Waiting for My Rocket to Come" have garnered critical acclaim and countless fans worldwide. San Diego singer-songwriter Tristan Prettyman appears as special guest. Tickets: $20, $22.50 and $27.50.

Jamaica native Prezident Brown, right, readies his rasta vibes and reggae styles for a nonstop dance-a-thon. Born Fitz Albert Cotterell, Brown's well-received albums include "Original Blue Print" and "To Jah Only." Local reggae powerhouse Ooklah the Moc also performs. Tickets are $15 for 21 and older; $20 for those 18-20.

Ho'onu'a, Natural Vibrations, Kapena, Ekolu, Nuff Said, Keahiwai, and Kekai Boys will perform at the Hawaiian Airlines Pro Bowl Concert, a day before the big football game featuring NFL pro-bowlers. NFL cheerleaders and mascots also will appear. Tickets are $18 lawn, $21 terrace and $25 pool; available at the Blaisdell box office and Ticketmaster outlets.

CONCERT: Feb. 18-20

Society of Seven returns to its roots, returning from Sin City for three shows in downtown Honolulu. The former Waikiki headliners and current Bally's Las Vegas performers offer a variety show packed with songs and impersonations, with Filipina songstress Lani Misalucha joining in. Tickets are $35 and $45, with a $5 discount for students, seniors, military and groups of 20 or more.

Now children and teens can enjoy the beauty of Greek myths when UH-Manoa's Department of Theatre and Dance presents "The Odyssey." This 55-minute adaptation of Homer's epic tale follows Odysseus as he begins his long journey home after the end of the Trojan War. Vibrant masks, enormous puppets, theatrical effects, song and mime take to the stage to illustrate the his adventures. Colette "Coco" Wiel directs; at right is Frank Katasse. Recommended for those 8 and older, a discussion follows the Feb. 19 evening show. Tickets are $10 general, $8 seniors, military, UH faculty/staff and non-UHM students, and $3 UHM students.

Fun and fancy are back as the spectacular Mardi Gras Follies, below, enters its 50th and final year. The annual cabaret revue and fund-raiser presented by the Pearl Harbor Performing Arts Association boasts a cast of 40 dancers, singers and specialty acts. Jack Cione returns as artistic director and Bill Doherty is costume designer. Tickets are $35, $45 and $50, including buffet, show, tax, tip and parking.

CONCERT: Feb. 28

Grammy-award winning k.d. lang showcases her sultry sounds and playful tunes while backed by her band and the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra for her Hawai'i debut. The Canadian crooner's heralded albums include the award-winning "Ingenue," "Drag" and her latest release, "Hymns of the 49th Parallel." Tickets are $45 and $55.

CONCERT: March 10

The Honolulu Chamber Music series continues its 50th anniversary season with the return of the popular St. Petersburg String Quartet, right. Members Aleksey Koptev (viola), Alla Aranovskaya (violin), David Chernyavsky (violin) and Leonid Shukaev (cello) will be joined by classical guitarist Paul Galbraith. The program includes works by Dvorak, Bach and Boccherini. Tickets are $24 general and $15 students and Honolulu Symphony musicians.
