No. 1 Iolani races past Maryknoll

Kawika Shoji scored 22 points and Kyle Pape 21 as top-ranked Iolani dispatched Maryknoll, 73-54, last night at the Raiders' gym.

Pape hit three 3-pointers for the Raiders, who raced to a 23-5 lead after the first quarter in improving to 11-0.

Tyler Tsukazaki sank three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points for Maryknoll.

Jack Miller scored 25 points, including eight in the second overtime, as the Crusaders held off the host Monarchs.

SOFTBALL

OIA playoffs rescheduled for today

Wet grounds at Central O'ahu Regional Park forced postponement of the Oahu Interscholastic Association playoffs yesterday.

All five games have been rescheduled for today on various fields at Central O'ahu Regional Park.

Kalaheo will play Waipahu for the White Division title and the OIA's berth in the Division II state tournament at 3:30 p.m.

Pearl City will meet Kapolei at 5:30 p.m. and Mililani will play Kailua at 7 p.m. in the Red Division semifinals.

Castle meets Moanalua and Kahuku plays Kaimuki in the Red Division consolation semifinals. Both start at 3:30 p.m.

The Red Division's fifth-place, third-place and championship games will be played tomorrow.

In Interscholastic League of Honolulu play yesterday, Taila Autele pitched a five-hitter and Kaha Weir had three hits to lead Punahou to a 10-0 win over Sacred Hearts.
