Three games postponed at Hawai'i Classic

Advertiser Staff

Only the first of four games at the Hawai'i Paradise Classic was played yesterday because of unplayable conditions at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

Washington beat Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne, 11-0, in a game that started at 2 p.m. yesterday. It ended after five innings because of the tournament's eight-run mercy rule.

Games between Jacksonville and Oregon; Jacksonville and Hawai'i; and Oregon and Hawai'i were postponed and will be made-up today.

The tournament winner will be determined by best pool play record, rather than a championship bracket on Sunday.
