Pro Bowl fans, all aboard the Michael Vick Experience.

Atlanta's Jim Mora Jr., the NFC coach, said he will let electrifying Falcons QB Michael Vick display his skills at the Pro Bowl.

The Atlanta Falcons quarterback hailed as the "most electrifying and exciting player in the NFL" by peers and media, will be untethered in next Sunday's Pro Bowl at Aloha Stadium.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Jim Mora Jr., who is in town as the NFC coach, said he had no plans to reign in his star quarterback who is capable of beating opponents with his running ability and his cannon-like left arm.

"You can't reign Michael Vick in," Mora said. "He's just a tremendous talent and he's a great improvisor. Once he goes out there, that's his world. We can send in a play, but what he does with that play, that's up to Michael."

This season, Mora guided the Falcons to the NFC championship game in his first year as head coach. The Falcons produced an 11-5 regular season and led the NFL in rushing with 2,672 yards.

Vick contributed 902 rushing yards, and also tossed 14 touchdowns.

"We want him to do what he does," Mora said. "What he does is he runs around, he makes plays, he throws the ball, he runs with the ball. He's a thrill a minute. We want people in the stands going, 'ooh and ahh.' That's how Michael likes to play."

Mora said he wouldn't deny fans the opportunity to see Vick display his dynamic skills.

"We'll have some tricks up our sleeve for Mike," Mora said. "We'll get him running a little bit. I can't give away the gameplan, though. We want to win."

Vick, who will arrive in Honolulu on Monday, will be one of three NFC quarterbacks scheduled to play in the Pro Bowl with Philadelphia Eagles Donovan McNabb and Minnesota Vikings Daunte Culpepper. McNabb is projected to start.

Yesterday, a reporter asked Mora if he gets worried when Vick starts off running. Mora playfully hid his eyes with his hands and replied, "no."

"People ask me that a lot, 'Do you get nervous when Mike takes off and runs with the ball?'" Mora said. "I say no. I love it. I can't wait to see what he's going to do next. That's how we all look at it."

Mora said Aloha Stadium's FieldTurf surface would help to safeguard players such as Vick, adding, "I know the players really appreciate that. That eases my mind a little bit."

In 2003, Vick broke his right fibula in a preseason game against Baltimore and missed 11 games. He returned to start in Week 14 and guided the Falcons to a 3-1 record in the final four weeks.

Earlier this week, former Dallas quarterback Troy Aikman was quoted by The Associated Press saying that he wanted to do away with the Pro Bowl, partly because it is too dangerous. Aikman will announce Sunday's Super Bowl for Fox TV.

"Going to play another game is the last thing you want to do after a long season and the Super Bowl," Aikman said. "And guys have been hurt over there."

Mora said he would not "hold back" Vick because players have sustained injuries that way.

"With a guy like Michael Vick — I think with any professional athlete — the minute that you ask them to hold back, they probably become a little bit more susceptible to injury than if you just let them go for it," Mora said. "These are guys that their whole life they've just been going for it. That's what you want to do."
