Co-worker accused of stealing checks

A 26-year-old man was arrested yesterday for allegedly depositing three stolen checks for a total of $11,500 into his own account over a three-day period beginning Jan. 5.

Police said the checks were stolen from a 32-year-old woman who works with the suspect and who was letting the man stay at her home.

The man was arrested for suspicion of second-degree forgery.



Man sitting car arrested in theft

A 31-year-old 'Ewa Beach man was arrested yesterday in connection with a car that a 39-year-old Kapolei man reported was stolen from him Oct. 18.

An officer who was arriving at the scene of an argument call saw a man sitting in a car and checked with police dispatchers who confirmed the car had been reported stolen previously.

The officer arrested the man for suspicion of operating a stolen vehicle.



Teen arrested in sexual assault

A 16-year-old 'Ewa Beach boy was arrested yesterday in connection with the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl on Friday.

The girl told police that the boy lured her into his home and sexually assaulted her. Police who were checking on her complaint reported finding narcotics and a stolen car at the boy's home.

He was arrested for suspicion of first-degree sexual assault, kidnapping, third-degree promotion of dangerous drugs and car theft.
