ISLAND LIFE SHORTS
Clutter alert!
Advertiser Staff
If you consider yourself "organizationally challenged," this get-together is for you.
Cost is a one-time annual fee of $10 and a suggested $1 per meeting thereafter.
Call 735-2986 or 941-4800, or e-mail tom@clutterbusters.net.
If you can do one thing green, let it all hang out, suggests Molly Rauch, a contributor to The Green Guide publication.
Let your clothes hang out, that is. The clothes dryer uses more electricity than any other household appliance except the refrigerator, Rauch said.
"By hanging four loads of laundry each week, I save $300 a year in quarters and $85 a year in electricity," she said.
Savings may vary per household, but it's worth a try. Consider using a clothesline or wooden drying rack.
"I started to notice all these amazing things happening to my body right in front of my eyes and it was an incredible, incredible feeling ... I looked better, I had so much energy, I was on fire and people were noticing."
Members of the Clutterbusters support group are holding their monthly meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Harris United Methodist Church, 20 S. Vineyard Blvd.
Hang it out to dry
