More flu shots available, state says

Advertiser Staff

Additional vaccine supplies from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have made it possible for Hawai'i doctors to offer late-season flu shots to a broader group of adults, the state Department of Health said today.

The expanded supplies, which are being made available nationwide, will be available for all adults 50- to 64-years-old. Health officials are encouraging all adults in that age group and caregivers of high-risk groups to get a flu shot.

Physicians looking for information about the increased supply can call 1-800-VACCINE.
