Tonight's Must-See
"Extreme Makeover," 7 p.m., ABC. Ray Krone was 37, a mailman and an Air Force veteran when he was arrested on murder charges. He was convicted and billed as the "snaggle tooth killer," because his teeth seemed to match bite marks on the victim's body. After 10 years, including two on death row, Krone was exonerated by DNA evidence and by someone else's confession. Now plastic surgeons try to wipe the lost decade from his face. They also fix the teeth that became a negative part of his identity.
That's one of three stories in this expanded, two-hour edition. One involves the show's first mother-daughter project: A 46-year-old Texas sheriff's dispatcher and her daughter, 21, each get nose work, liposuction and more. In addition, the show visits a real Wisteria Lane in Santa Rosa, Calif. It meets four women (including Mickey Rooney's daughter) who figure they don't look nearly as sexy as the Wisteria residents on ABC's "Desperate Housewives." "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 7 and 8 p.m., CBS. First is a rerun with one girl dead and another missing after a high school homecoming party in a casino suite. Then, in a new episode, a man is mauled to death and a bear killed. Murder-suicide seems out of the question. "The O.C.," 7 p.m., Fox. After battling with Caleb last week, Ryan must make amends for the sake of Caleb's biological daughter Lindsay. Meanwhile, Seth, Zach and Summer find romantic complications while traveling on a comic-book project. "Joey," 7 p.m., NBC. Joey makes a date with a reporter to get on her good side. He's appalled when he realizes that the day he chose happens to be Valentine's Day. "Will & Grace," 7:30 p.m., NBC. Grace hates the greeting-card approach to Valentine's Day until she falls for a handsome greeting-card writer, played by film star Ed Burns. "The Apprentice," 8 p.m., NBC. The teams are supposed to make a mini-movie that sells a body wash. "Point Pleasant," 8 p.m., Fox. Lucas Boyd throws a party that is expected to soothe feelings. Instead, Christina is again unable to control her rage. "ER," 9 p.m., NBC. Kerry Weaver finally meets her birth mother and they have a major disagreement. The role was originally announced for Sissy Spacek, but now has gone to Frances Fisher ("Unforgiven"). "Without a Trace," 9 p.m., CBS. More than 300 video games have been taken from a postal truck. The team is called because the postal worker is also missing.
