That hideous swing could pay off in contest

If friends tell you that you have one ugly swing, don't despair. There is hope.

Golf Digest and The Golf Channel are partnering to find the world's worst golf swing.

The contest, which has an entry deadline of March 25, is seeking experienced players who get out on the course on a regular basis. No trick or fake swings will be allowed, and all finalists will be verified by their local PGA professional.

The winner will appear on The Golf Channel with instructor Dean Reinmuth on June 6 and will receive tips on how to improve his or her stroke.

Golfers can nominate themselves or friends by sending a VHS, CD or DVD to Golf Digest. Visit www.golfdigest.com for submission requirements and information.

Ten finalists will be chosen from the entries and the public will vote via the Internet to determine the worst swing.
