Oklahoma St. sweeps Waikoloa tournament

Tyler Leon fired a 7-under 65 yesterday to win individual medalist and lead Oklahoma State to the team title in the Taylor Made/Waikoloa Intercollegiate Tournament at the Waikoloa Village Golf Course on the Big Island.

Leon finished with a 54-hole total of 21-under 195 and a three-stroke victory over teammate Alex Noren (66) and Washington's James Lepp (65). Another Cowboy teammate Ryan Posey shot 68 and was tied for fourth with Georgia Tech's Roberto Castro (64) at 199.

Led by Leon, Noren, Posey and Pablo Martin (68—209), Oklahoma State finished with a four-man team aggregate of 63-under 801. Georgia Tech was second at 808.

Host Hawai'i-Hilo finished 19th at 11-under 853, while the University of Hawai'i was last in the 21-team field at 3-under 861.
