Iolani, Mililani, Leilehua win titles

Iolani swept the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Swimming and Diving Championships yesterday at the Punahou School pool.

April Woo and Michelle Vawer — each with two individual titles and two relay victories — helped the Iolani girls score 113 points.

Michelle Yoshida was a double winner for Punahou, which finished second with 73 points.

Kai Yamashiro won two individual races and helped the Iolani boys win two relays and amass 94 points.

The Punahou boys placed second with 70 points.

Elsewhere, Mililani won the girls title and Leilehua took the boys crown at the O'ahu Interscholastic Association championships at the Kalani High pool.

Lynnette Fukuda won one race and swam on a winning relay team as Mililani scored 215 points.

Ivy Yi was a double-winner for Kalani, which finished second with 162 points.

Meredith Egloria of Kapolei also won two events.

Leilehua won all three relay races to amass 289 points in the boys championship.

Dennis Swart won two races for Kaiser, which finished second with 200 points.

Moanalua's Andrew Lester and Mililani's Bryan Avery were double-winners.
