Woman killed in Wai'anae hit-run accident

A woman believed to be in her early- to mid-40s was fatally injured this morning when she was struck by a car or truck while jogging along Farrington Highway in Wai'anae.Police said the woman was running along the mauka side of the highway when she was hit in front of the Wai'anae Coast Comprehensive Health Center about 3:30 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the woman left before police arrived.
Traffic headed toward Wai'anae was re-routed while police traffic investigators conducted their investigation.
