PHIL MURRAY has been named guest activities and special projects manager at Hilton Waikoloa Village. Murray has been with Hilton since 1985, starting as a bellman at Hilton Chicago Towers, moving to Waikoloa property as hotel assistant manager in 1993. He was promoted to senior hotel assistant manager in 1999. Among special projects under his supervision will be the hotel's Dolphin Days Summer Fest, Lava Man Triathlon, the Cinco de Mayo swim and running races, Camp Menehune and holiday events.

TONY HO, technology manager for the U.S. Department of Defense, has been named to his third term as president of the Prince Kuhio Hawaiian Civic Club. Also on the slate of officers are first vice president CLAIRE PRUET, director of student resources and development, Chaminade University of Honolulu; second vice president YVONNE "PEEWEE" RYAN, senior secretary, Financial Asset Division, The Kamehameha Schools; treasurer CHASMIN SOKOLOSKI, president/broker, Satori Realty Group; recording secretary ALMA P. CIRINO, retired state school principal; and correspondence secretary KANOE CAZIMERO, client services associate, Perigon Wealth Management.

LAVINA WONG, director of special events for the 11 Macy's stores in Hawai'i, has been promoted to director of special events for Macy's in Los Angeles and Hawai'i. A 29-year employee of Macy's/ Liberty House, Wong takes on three additional Macy's locations, with the new position: stores at Beverly Center, Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks, and the Del Amo Fashion Center in Los Angeles.

CAROL FIELDS has been named operations manager Hawai'i Forest & Trail, a Big Island eco-tourism firm. She will be responsible for day-to-day operations, tour operations, and customer service for the company's eight nature adventure tours. .

BRIAN CHATTERLEY has been named the school's director of advancement at Hawai'i Preparatory Academy on the Big Island. Formerly director of admission and financial aid at the school, Chatterley will oversee the admission and development offices. Chatterley is also vice president of the Small Boarding School Association. Hawai'i Preparatory Academy is an independent college-preparatory school in Waimea with more than 600 students.

ROBERT SCHUESSLER has joined First Insurance Co. of Hawai'i as controller. He was previously director of operations in risk management for CNA Insurance in Illinois. First Insurance has also hired BRUCE T.MATSUURA as executive underwriter for major accounts. He has worked as executive underwriter and underwriting unit manager at Fairmont Specialty Group, and for Island Insurance Group.
