'Spirituality of Friendship' event

The Women's Concerns Committee of the Catholic Diocese of Honolulu is hosting a Spirituality of Friendship daylong event, from 8:30 a.m. March 5 at the Mystical Rose Oratory on the Chaminade University campus.
Sister Margaret Scharf of the Center for Spiritual Development in Orange, Calif., will be the presenter at the women's gathering. She's versed in spirituality, religious studies and intercultural studies.
Cost is $15 (includes lunch).

Friends of Sabeel Hawaii is presenting a free lecture by Stephen Zunes, a University of San Francisco professor, on "The United States and the Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process: Help or Hindrance?" at 7 p.m. March 2 at Harris United Methodist Church's Miyama Hall, 20 S. Vineyard Blvd. Zunes, a political-studies professor and chairman of the peace and justice studies program, has written "Tinderbox: U.S. Middle East Policy and the Roots of Terrorism."
