Advertiser Christmas Fund nets $179,978.73

Post-holiday contributions, including a $777 gift from Iolani School, pushed the final tally of The Advertiser Christmas Fund to a near-record $179,978.73.
The record is $181,218, set in 2001. The 2004 total is 22 percent higher than the 2003 total of $147,000.
An anonymous "Secret Santa," who matched the first $25 of every cash donation made through Dec. 31, gave $34,886 in 2004.
