What's open, closed Presidents Day

Here's what's open and closed Monday, Presidents Day.

  • Government: Federal, state, city and county offices will be closed.
  • Schools: Public schools will be closed. UH offices and classes are closed, and the Sinclair and Hamilton Libraries are closed.
  • Libraries: Closed with exceptions; call your area library or visit www.librarieshawaii.org for a schedule.
  • TheBus: Saturday schedule
  • On-street parking: Free, except for metered Kalakaua Avenue spaces adjacent to Kapi'olani Park; holiday towaway parking as permitted by sign; municipal lot meters must be fed.
  • Traffic: No coning
  • Trash: Regular residential and business pickup. Landfills and convenience centers will be open.
  • Open markets: Closed
  • Municipal golf courses: Open
  • City Recreation Centers: Open
  • Mail: Post offices closed; no regular residential and business delivery; no collection (blue) box pickups
  • Handi-Van: Operating. 454-5050 (reservations: 456-5555)
