Weddings

Anne Kamalapuaikehaulani Alama, daughter of David Alama of Honolulu and Rodney and Judi Kwock of Reno, Nev., and Steven Nelson Carpenter, son of Clarke and Ioanna Carpenter of Athens, Greece, were married Sept. 10 in Lake Tahoe, Nev. The reception followed at the Hyatt Lake Tahoe. The bride (University of Nevada-Reno bachelor's, University of Nevada-Las Vegas master's), formerly of Honolulu, now Anne Kamalapuaikehaulani Carpenter, is a parole and probation supervisor. The groom (University of Maryland), formerly of Athens, is a U.S. marshal. The couple live in Las Vegas.

Jo Ann Porlas Dayacos, daughter of the late Alfred Dayacos Sr. and the late Josephine Porlas Dayacos, and Mark Charles Stephen, son of the late Sydney James Stephen and the late Willene Marcell (Arthur) Stephen, were married Nov. 20 at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, where the reception followed. The bride (1985 Waipahu High, 1990 UH-Hilo bachelor's), now Jo Ann P.D. Stephen, is an associate manager at a clothing store. The groom (1991 Pearl City High) is a store detective. The couple live in Waipahu, with the bride's son, Colton-Ray Dayacos-Gaspar, 9, and the couple's children Lexus Stephen, 4, and Cameron Stephen, 2.
