BYUH's Chrisman Player of the Week

Jake Chrisman, a Brigham Young-Hawai'i senior, was named Pacific West Conference Player of the Week.
Chrisman, a native of Provo, Utah, averaged 26.7 points on 78.6 (33 for 42) percent shooting in a victory over Western New Mexico and two wins against Montana State-Billings. He had 32 points last Saturday against Billings.
The Seasiders are 15-7 overall and tied for first in the conference with Hawai'i-Hilo at 10-3.
Chrisman has won the award twice this season, and five times last season.
Sing Chow honored
Hawai'i-Hilo pitcher Leo Sing Chow, a sophomore from Waipahu, was named Pacific West Conference softball Player of the Week.
Sing Chow led UH-Hilo to two victories, helping the Vulcans to a 3-1 start.
Last week, Sing Chow struck out eight in an 8-2 victory over Chaminade, and pitched a one-hitter in a 2-0 complete-game victory over Brigham Young-Hawai'i.Ê
For the week, she had a 0.50 earned-run average with 10 strikeouts in 14 innings. She allowed four hits and one earned run.
Sing Chow also was 4 for 8 with a run scored.
HPU sweeps BYUH
Hawai'i Pacific swept a doubleheader from Brigham Young-Hawai'i yesterday at BYUH field in La'ie.
Nicole Kalakau hit a two-run homer in the Sea Warriors' 11-3 victory in the first game.
Brandi Peiler pitched a five-hitter in HPU's 6-0 win in the second game.
HPU is 5-1, BYUH 2-4.
