Fancy yourself a film buff? Test your expertise with an Oscars contest co-sponsored by The Honolulu Advertiser, Signature Theatres and radio station Island 98.5.
Grab that TGIF and fill it out!
The winner takes home a year's worth of movie passes a great way to further enhance your motion-picture knowledge. The second-place winner takes home 10 passes and a spa package from Heaven on Earth Salon & Day Spa. A runner-up wins 10 passes too.
Submit ballots by Friday at participating Signature theaters (Dole Cannery Stadium 18, Pearl Highlands Stadium 12, Windward Stadium 10 or Keauhou Stadium 7).
The contest has generated a lot of interest, with more than a thousand entries to date.
Think "Million Dollar Baby" is a knockout? Or that "The Incredibles" is truly incredible? Maybe you believe Natalie Portman is "closer" to winning the supporting actress category than the other nominees. Then mark your ballot, and test your luck.
We've been running the promotional ballot in Island Life and TGIF. It appears one more time Friday, asking you to guess what and who will win for Best Picture, Actor/Actress (in leading and supporting roles), Animated Feature Film, Costume Design, Directing, and Song at the 77th Annual Academy Awards, airing Sunday on ABC. There's also a tiebreaker question.
