UH-Manoa Kennedy Theatre auditions past and present students for the April 22-May 1 performance of James Grant Benton's "twelf nite o' whatevea!," a pidgin retelling of Shakespeare's comedy, 4:30-7:30 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday, Kennedy Theatre, room 101. Sign up on the sheet posted at the theater for a 5-minute audition appointment. Be prepared to speak pidgin and bring a recent photograph. 956-7677.

Kumu Kahua Theatre auditions for the May production of Mark D. Tjarks' "Ventriloquist," 9 a.m.-noon March 5 and 6 at the theater. Roles include an African-American female, early 30s to late 40s; Asian male, late 20s to early 40s; Caucasian female, late 20s to early 40s; hapa female, early teens; Caucasian male, early teens; Asian female, early 50s to late 60s. Prepare three memorized arias, with sheet music in a three-ring binder for the accompanist (who is provided by HOT or you may bring your own), a copy of your resume and a recent headshot.
