Zen community subject of lecture

Helen Baroni, associate professor of religion at the University of Hawai'i-Manoa, will give an audiovisual presentation on the path of a contemporary American Zen community, "Holding Up The Lamp," at 7 p.m. March 6 at the Palolo Zen Center, Honolulu Diamond Sangha, 2747 Wai'omao Road. St. Andrew's Cathedral will host "Choral Evensong: Reflections for Lent" at 7:30 p.m. March 6. Guest artists include Susan Purnell on flute, David Masunaga on oboe and Sharene Boulos on harp. Information: 524-2822, Ext. 223.
Church Women United's local contingent will celebrate the World Day of Prayer with a service at 4 p.m. March 6 at Aiea United Methodist Church, 99-101 Laulima Road.

Retired Bishop Remi J. De Roo will be among those presenting "Our Journey: From Knowing God to be Known by God," at First United Methodist Church, 1020 S. Beretania St.

The United Church of Christ celebrates two installations this weekend. The Rev. Dr. Charles Buck will be installed by the Association of Hawaiian Evangelical Churches and the O'ahu Association at Kawaiaha'o Church at 11 a.m. today, and Kahu Curtis P.
