Shop 'til you drop at 'surprise bag' event at Ala Moana Center today

Let the shopping continue! This time, do it Japanese style, as Ala Moana Center features a fukubukuro event at participating stores today. Fukubukuro means "surprise bag," and indeed, this style of shopping means the customer purchases a sealed bag that is priced at least 50 percent off the total retail price of the contents.

Participating stores include Aveda, Baccarat, Burberry, Celine, Christian Dior, Clio Blue, Crabtree & Evelyn, Diesel, Folli Follie, Hawaiian Quilt Collection, Hilo Hattie, L'Epicier, Le Sportsac, Maui Divers, Neiman Marcus, Pacific Harley-Davidson, Prada, Prada Sport, Salvatore Ferragamo, Sandal Tree, Sephora and The Compleat Kitchen.

Hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today while supplies last — which means it's better to get there really early.
