Golf Academy opens at Ko'olau

The San Diego Golf Academy has opened a Golf Academy of Hawai'i at the Ko'olau Golf Club.

SDGA is a two-year accredited golf college, preparing students for careers in the teaching profession, golf management, and sales, as well as many other aspects of the golf industry.

It has been in existence for 30 years and has campuses in California, Arizona, Florida, and South Carolina.

Students enrolled in the four-semester certificate program in Hawai'i will be involved in a curriculum of English classes that incorporates study in the fundamentals of the golf swing, short game and putting techniques, and golf equipment. In addition, they will be playing golf, taking lessons, and practicing their technique on a daily basis.

The current semester started this week. The next enrollment period is in May.
