Key Senate votes

1. Ohio's electoral votes

The House on Thursday rejected, 267-31, an objection to certifying Ohio's electoral votes from the 2004 presidential election. A yea vote was to object to the certification.

Ed Case (D) NAY

The Senate on Thursday rejected, 74-1, an objection to certifying Ohio's electoral votes from the 2004 presidential election. A yea vote was to object to the certification.

HAWAI'I VOTES

Daniel Akaka (D) NV;

Dan Inouye (D) NAY

NOTE: NV stands for "not voting."



What's ahead: The House and Senate are in recess until Jan. 20. Congress will reconvene for President Bush's second inauguration.
