Tonight's Must-See

Tonight on KHNL News 8

The world continues to rally to the aid of the tsunami victims — including volunteers from Hawai'i. Join Diane Ako as she reports on the latest from Indonesia on the "Tsunami Crisis" this week on KHNL News 8.

"24," 7 p.m., Fox. In Sunday's opener, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) had finally found peace and romance. Then terrorists kidnapped his girlfriend (Kim Raver) and her dad, the secretary of defense (William Devane). No longer with the Counter Terrorist Unit, Jack is on his own. But he's getting help from one CTU insider. He's tracking someone who may lead him to the hostages. Tonight, he goes to extremes to slow the man down. More extreme is a mother (superbly played by Shohreh Aghdashloo) who orders her son to kill his girlfriend. The result is classic "24," intense and compelling. It's wildly unlikely, yet thoroughly engrossing.

"Dawn Anna," 7 p.m., Lifetime. This may be the season's best TV movie. The rich emotions depend on surprise in this story about illness in the family. Simply realize this is a true story, compelling and heart-wrenching. Debra Winger is brilliant as a steel-willed teacher and mother. Arliss Howard, her husband, directed (superbly) and co-wrote.

Of Note

"Safety Challenge: Surviving Winter," 6 p.m., Court TV. This hour ranges from thin ice to an avalanche.

"Growing Up Gotti" season opener, 7 p.m., A&E. Star magazine gossip columnist Victoria Gotti and her three macho sons are hard to like, but a new season starts. Tonight, the boys have a wild weekend in the Hamptons.

"The Bachelorette," 8 p.m., ABC. In the third "Bachelor," Andrew Firestone proposed to Jen Schefft. The engagement failed. Now she's back and doing the choosing. In this opener, Schefft is radiant, during numbing encounters with 25 guys. Helping her are two friends, working undercover as bartenders. The prospects seem weak, but you'll root for her.

"Everybody Loves Raymond," 8 p.m., CBS. In a darkly funny rerun, Ray prolongs a feud between his wife and mother because his wife is more sexual when she's angry.

"Las Vegas," 8 p.m., NBC. When Danny and Delinda find an apparent suicide, a perilous situation begins.

"Caesars 24/7" debut, 8 p.m., A&E. If "Las Vegas" isn't your thing, catch this reality portrait of life in Caesars Palace. There's even one beauty Some human moments are enjoyable. Others are standard.
