HECO rate-hike hearing tonight

A public hearing on a proposed 7.3 percent rate hike by Hawaiian Electric Co. will be held tonight at 6 at the Kaimuki High School Auditoriun, 2705 Kaimuki Ave. People can testify orally or submit written testimony. HECO is seeking approval from the state Public Utilities Commission to increase rates for the first time since 1995.
