2005 Million Dollar Shot

WHAT: Final Round

WHEN: Sunday, upon completion of Sony Open in Hawai'i tournament play (approximately. 5:15 p.m.)

WHERE: Waialae Country Club, 18th Green

PURSE: $1,000,000 to each winner

FORMAT: Qualifiers are given one shot at winning $1 million by holing a 128-yard shot (the distance of Isao Aoki's celebrated miracle shot to win the 1983 Hawaiian Open at Waialae).

QUALIFYING: Qualifying was held last Sunday at the Waialae County Club driving range. Contestants had to place the ball within a 2-foot circle from 110 yards away.
