COMEDY CUES: Augie T's "Augie Live @ Hawai'i Theatre" DVD has been a holiday-season best seller, with Islanders snapping up 12,000 copies, creating a sold-out situation. More discs have been ordered, said Augie, who figures an Augie II hana hou — another live concert — is the next logical step.

"I've been working on new material," said the stand-up and morning drive deejay (with partner Lanai, on KDDN-FM, Island Rhythm 98.5), who embarks shortly on a Neighbor Island tour (first up: Aloha Beach Hotel on Kaua'i this Saturday). "I'm been focusing on my marriage and my parents; my dad, who's 73, and my mom, who's 57, have been interested in Viagra, and they talk to my wife, not me, about it ... and they don't understand what it's for."

With the exposure of his family on the DVD (his siblings and his parents have on-camera time), the 'ohana has been emerging as media stars, too. "With my mom and dad living across the street from me, my life is almost like 'Everybody Loves Raymond,' " said Augie, referring to the frequent invasion of the older generation as depicted on Ray Romano's hit CBS-TV sitcom. Still, that interaction translates into real-life, real-funny potential material. ...

Clint Eastwood's daughter, Kathryn, 16, has been tapped as Miss Golden Globes in Sunday's Golden Globes Awards. Kathryn will ferry statuettes to the winners, and she's pictured with dad in a recent People magazine. According to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Web site (the group presents the Globes), Kathryn has been living in Hawai'i and performing in local dance and theater productions, though it does not say where. Also, the site says she is moving to Hollywood this month to be closer to the film industry. Her mom is Eastwood's former girlfriend, Jacelyn Reeves. Eastwood is a contender for his "Million Dollar Baby" drama, in which he acts and also directed. ...

Donald Conover — last seen and heard at the Original Steak House in Waikiki — opens Saturday night at La Mariana Sailing Club off Sand Island Access Road, where he'll man the piano bar every Saturday thereafter (with the exception of Feb. 5, when Jimmy Kaina sits in, since Conover has a choral director's conference in Los Angeles). Yep, audience participation (requests, vocals, hula) will prevail. ...

The Krush, dormant the past few years, has been rehearsing for three months, revving up for the upcoming convention season, according to Edwin Ramones, one of the original members. The new group will perform when the state Legislature opens on Wednesday, in the Senate chamber, and the membership lines up this way: Ramones, keyboards and vocals; Robin Canencia, guitar and vocals; Michael Nacapuy, bass and vocals; Aaron Agsalda, lead vocals, 'ukulele and guitar; Jorell Nacapuy, keyboards and vocals; and Alvin Cameros, drums and vocals. A few public gigs also seems logical. ...
