Kevin Spacey is singer Bobby Darin and Kate Bosworth plays his wife, Sandra Dee, in "Beyond the Sea," opening at theaters tomorrow.

• "Beyond the Sea": Kevin Spacey plays Bobby Darin and brings sympathy to a life he clearly identifies with. With Kate Bosworth as his wife, Sandra Dee, and John Goodman, Brenda Blethyn and Bob Hoskins. • "Vera Drake": Imelda Staunton gives a heartbreakingly good performance as a good-hearted working woman in London, circa 1950, who cares for her family, visits shut-ins, cleans for the rich, and once or twice a week performs an abortion. Opens tomorrow at Dole Cannery 18 Theatres. (R)

• "The Woodsman": Kevin Bacon gives a performance of uncommon power in the story of a pedophile attempting to re-enter society after 12 years in prison. Opens tomorrow at Varsity Twins.

• "Work and the Glory": When two brothers contend for the favor of a wealthy merchant's daughter, they find themselves on opposite sides of a religous question, facing religious intolerance against Mormons in the early 1800s. They soon face issues of family loyalty and the pursuit of truth. Opens tomorrow at Pearl Highlands 12. (PG)
