STAGE/SCREEN

Hawai'i Pacific University Theatre auditions students and community members for the March 25-April 24 production of Moliere's farce "The Miser," 7 p.m. Jan. 28 and noon Jan. 29 and 30 at the HPU Theatre, windward campus. Auditions will consist of readings from the script, which can be read on the premises of the downtown and windward campus libraries. 254-0853.

W Performing Art Center auditions for their spring junior production of the musical "Annie," 2:30-6 p.m. Jan. 29 at the center, 823 California Ave., Wahiawa. All parts will be cast with children between the ages of 5 and 15 years, who will be asked to sing a song from the show (bring sheet music unless they will sing a cappella) and to dance; some will be asked to read from the script. 621-3411.

MUSIC/DANCE

Honolulu Boy Choir holds open auditions for boys ages 7-12 for the spring concert season. Must be able to match pitch and be available for rehearsals and performances. Hawaii Stars holds its first audition for the 2005 season, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Ala Moana Centerstage (registration at 5:30 p.m.). Contestants, ages 18 and over as of March 24, will sing 45 seconds of a song, a cappella. Entry form at www.hawaiistars.com.
