Bauer preseason pick as WAC Pitcher of the Year

The University of Hawai'i baseball team was picked to finish fourth this season and senior Ricky Bauer was chosen as the preseason pitcher of the year in voting by Western Athletic Conference coaches, the conference office announced today.Rice is picked to win its ninth consecutive WAC title followed by Fresno State, Nevada, UH, Louisiana Tech and San Jose State.
Five Rainbows were picked to the preseason all-conference team: Outfielder Greg Kish, third baseman Rocky Russo and pitchers Bauer, Steve Bryant and Darrell Fisherbaugh.
