Tonight's Must-See

"Aladdin" (1992), 7 p.m., ABC. Disney cartoons were at their hottest when this came out. "Little Mermaid" and "Beauty and the Beast" were in the recent past; "The Lion King" was on the way. In between those, "Aladdin" offered a fun detour. It was a loose adventure, strong on humor with Robin Williams as the eccentric genie. Alan Menken wrote the delightful score. When lyricist Howard Ashman died of complications from AIDS, Tim Rice ("Evita") took over; Menken and Rice crafted the Oscar-winning song, "A Whole New World."

"Town Haul" debut, 10 p.m., TLC. Here's a feel-good variation on the makeover trend. Genevieve Gorder, of "Trading Spaces," brings a crew to a small town. "We lend them a helping hand in making their storefronts, houses, fire stations and other buildings better," says Roger Marmet, the TLC general manager.

Of Note

"The Return of the Musketeers" (1989), 7 p.m., Pax TV. On the eve of its new "Young Blades" series, Pax offers this movie sequel with several of the people from the 1974 "Three Musketeers," including director Richard Lester. Stars Michael York, Oliver Reed, Richard Chamber-lain and Geraldine Chaplin.

"Law & Order," 7 p.m., NBC. A string of three NBC rerun hours starts with two students who jumped to their deaths while testing anti-depressants.

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent," 8 p.m., NBC. Nikki M. James in a terrific performance as the smart half of a modern Bonnie-and-Clyde duo.

"Desperate Housewives," 9 p.m., ABC. Here is a rerun of an older episode. Gabrielle seeks a way to keep her mother-in-law from spying. Also, Bree rages at her therapist and Julie tries to learn why Zach was sent to a repressive rehab spot.

"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. Paul Giamatti, the new indie movie favorite via his films "Sideways" and "American Splendor," hosts, with music from Ludacris.
