Police Beat: Man arrested in domestic dispute

A 39-year-old Punchbowl-area man was arrested last night after he allegedly threatened his wife and son with a knife during an argument.Police said the wife, 37, was arguing with her husband about 7:50 p.m. when he began to physically abuse her. The couple's son, 17, intervened but the father grabbed a knife and threatened him, police said.
Patrol officers, who were responding to a call about a domestic argument at the couple's home, arrested the husband on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and abuse of a family member.
