WILLIAM "BILL" RAYMOND HELBIG JR., 57, of McMinnville, Ore., died May 3, 2005. Born in San Francisco. Vice president of Hawaiian Service Inc.; owner of Aloha Ranch. Survived by parents, Delta and Ray Helbig; sister, Thea Coats; two nieces. Service and reception 4 p.m. Thursday at Waialae Country Club. Aloha attire.

THOMAS SHIRO HIRAO, 82, of Honolulu, died June 24, 2005. Born in Honolulu. A confectioner active with Nisshodo Candy Store. RICHARD KOON FAI LAU, 84, of Honolulu, died June 27, 2005. Born in Honolulu. An accountant in the lumber industry; also an employee of Tongg Ranch. Survived by wife, Winifred; son, Rodney; daughter, Joanne Haigler; brother, Harold; sisters, Margaret Yuen, Clarice Young, Rosamond Bartz, Emmeline Hutchins and Hester Goforth; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. SANTIAGO "APO AGO" RAMOS SR., 98, of Kahuku, died June 28, 2005. Born in the Philippines. A retired worker at Kahuku Sugar Plantation. Survived by daughters, Virginia "Jean" Berlinrut, Filipinas "Fely" Dorado, Florence Golden, Joan Martin and Julie Nacapuy; sons, Santiago Jr. and Don; hanai son, Diego Agbayani; 10 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild. Visitation 6 p.m. Wednesday at St. Roch's Catholic Church; Mass 7 p.m. Visitation also 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church; burial 1 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park.

ROBERT FRANCIS SANTOS SR., 85, of West Covina, Calif., died June 25, 2005. Born in Honolulu. Affiliated with the Santos Dairy, a Pearl Harbor survivor and a fire chief. Survived by wife, Ruth; children, Robert Santos Jr., Stephanie Santos Anderson and Michelle Ayres; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine. No service. Ashes to be scattered in Hawai'i. Condolences may be sent to his wife, Ruth.
